Matt Vidler is our resident Max Movement Specialist and certified Yoga and Qigong practitioner. Like many of you, he was searching for health, happiness, and freedom in his life and he found it through movement. Here is his story:
After years of suffering from bipolar disorder, obesity, and using alcohol to cope, I discovered the practice of yoga and qigong. With consistent and dedicated practice, I began to connect with something deeper than my "self". My practice connects me with an inner peace. In my practical life, I no longer take anti-depressants, I've lost over 100 pounds, I eat a primarily plant-based diet, and I practice what I preach.
Spiritually, I am releasing the self-made chains of bondage and diving beyond the constraints of "self." The practice of Yoga and Qigong connects me with the wholeness, harmony, and perfectness of being-life is a journey, not a destination!
